How do you feel when your alarm goes off on a Monday morning? Do you press the snooze button and curse the cruelty of life that forces you to drag yourself back to work? Do you need a coffee and a sugary snack to comfort you and pick you up before you can face the reality of work once again?
I hope you don’t! Life is too short to waste it working in a job that you don’t enjoy. Work can be an enjoyable part of life. Let me show you how.
Most of my clients come to me to work on their careers. That’s not surprising since our work plays such a dominant part in our lives. With the exception of a small group of financially independent people on this planet, we all have to work. If we assume that you are working 40 hours a week between the ages of 20 and 65, with three weeks’ holiday a year, you will be working 88,200 hours in your lifetime. This equates to 10 solid years! Many people work even more hours than this and the average retirement age in the United Kingdom is likely to increase to 70 over the coming years.
So we’d better make sure that we love what we do.
That’s why I have made career coaching the main pillar of my Masterful Living® approach. And now, for the first time, I have published the top tools from my coaching process in a book, called “Falling in Love with Your Job – How to create more fulfilment and excitement in your career”.
The book is packed with inspiration, guidance and lots of practical exercises that will help you gain clarity about what you want from your career – and then how to get it.
The book will be right for you if you want to:
- re-engage with your current career
- find a new job or career that inspires you more
- manage yourself more effectively at work
- become self-employed
- learn how to motivate your staff
Reading the book will probably change the way you look at your career, and indeed your life generally. Amongst other things you will:
- Find out your highest personal values that determine what drives you
- Create a personal mission statement for your life
- Define your desired life-outcomes
- Decide what a healthy life-balance looks like for you
- Create an inspiring action plan
- Learn how to manage yourself more effectively
These are all subjects that I cover in my coaching packages with my private clients of over the course of several months. Now you can access them all in my new book, “Falling in Love with Your Job – How to create more excitement and fulfilment in your career.”Click here to purchase the book from Amazon.
Then let me know how the book has helped you. I would love to hear from you!
